Enemies Abound 5e

One creature you see will be forced to make a saving throw based on its Intelligence. If a creature is unfrightened, it automatically succeeds. If the target fails the save, it loses the ability to distinguish between friend and foe,.  Considering all creatures that it can see as enemies until the spell ends. If the target takes damage, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a hit.

The affected creature must choose a target at random from among the creatures it can see within the range of its attack. , spell, or other ability.  whenever it chooses another creature as a target. It is the affected creature’s responsibility to make a chance attack if it is ready to do so if an enemy provokes it.

5th edition of Enemies Abound

  • A single action takes one minute to cast

The creature can only choose a target at random from among the creatures.  It can see within range whenever it chooses a target. Chance attacks are made by creatures if they are ready to make them.

The fact that it triggers when a creature chooses a target made it very easy for the target to control it,.  Preventing the spell from working. By using a melee weapon and making sure that only an enemy within range can be randomly selected, . You can ensure that the enemy is the only one randomly selected. Use AOE spells selectively to hit only certain enemies, . Or use spells that are AOE but continue to put them selectively. If the character put away their weapons and did not attack to avoid hitting an ally,.  That is the worst case scenario.

Creature Targeted

A creature targeted by this spell was confused and frightened when it was cast, and hence could not tell friend from foe. Anyone within range of the spell was attacked randomly. An animal with a high resistance to fear or a strong enough body was not affected by this spell.

Because of this, the target of Enemies Abound views every creature.  They see as working against them, whether they see these enemies acting . As a group or individually is up to roleplay.

Despite the fact that people can self-sabotage or otherwise act against their own interests.  They cannot regard themselves as simultaneously pursuing and thwarting their own interests. It would create a recursive loop in which their interest would be to prevent themselves from stopping themselves.

With this spell, characters would have a capability similar to Frenzy or Confusion in other games, . Where they attack anything in their path. As the closest enemy, if they viewed themselves as an enemy . They might attack themselves, which would go against the intention of the spell.
